Hello folks my 01 srx recently started cutting back on two cylinders on idle and cuts in all three when i give it gas. Seems like the stator or coils, can someone point me in the right direction how to test these parts? Thanks

first thing I would look at is if the flywheel is rusty.

next thing is to ohm out the sparkplug caps if the flywheel isnt rusty.
Is there a forum on testing the spark plug wires the flywheel looks good. There's lots of spark when I check the plugs but when she's running I remove the middle cap and there is no difference in the sound of the engine.next thing is to ohm out the sparkplug caps if the flywheel isnt rusty.

when were the carbs last cleaned?? Dirty pilots??
They were cleaned at the beginning of the season haven't used the sled that much maybe 200km but no harm in checking them again.

Make sure to blow carb cleaner and compressed air through the pilot circuits too. I also use a small diameter wire and poke through the pilot jets to ensure that they're clean. (just tryin' to be helpful) Good Luck!
The same exact thing happened during a ride last weekend on my 600. Ran great but has a miss at idle and even back fired coming to a stop. Yesterday I installed new plugs and had the same result. I swapped plug wires with #3 and still #2 is not firing. I'm guessing it is a plugged pilot but have not had a chance to pull the carbs. If it is I'm blaming it on crappy Wisconsin gas from a couple weekends ago

X2next thing is to ohm out the sparkplug caps
Except I'd just change them out if they're the originals. They're cheap enough and after all, most all electrical components go bad over time.
Read links w/i links.
