Came up north yesterday ride my 2001 srx 700 for 170 miles and ran great no problems. Before going back to the hotel I played around in a field with some deep snow for a minute or two and the sled still ran back to the hotel just fine. Came out this morning and he sled runs and starts great but it will not move. Tipped the sled on its side and the track is free. Primary and secondary mover along with the jack shaft. Chaincase frozen?

1.) if you rev up the sled does the front clutch engage the belt?

2.) when you say the track is free, if you remove the belt can you move the sled forward or backward by rotating the sec. clutch?

The front clutch is engaging fine I already burned a hole in the belt. The track is free meaning it's not frozen to hifax and it will move back and forth about and inch. But my drivers don't seem to want to move at alll. I put a long screw driver in the secondary and it won't move the sled at all. I also hooked a vector up to it to try to tow it and it won't budge

Nope checked the brake and it's not locked up. I think we might have to try and tow it with a truck to get it rollin

can u roll the track with the secondary ??? if not well sounds like something is broke in your chaincase since u can turn your track by hand

I would be getting some heat on it before I tried towing it very aggressively. If you have some condensation/water in your chain case by the time it rolls free towing it I suspect something will have broken and you still wont be able to ride it. I have had slush pack up in the front of the tunnel and left to freeze would cause your troubles. Tip it up on its side and clear snow/ice out. If still no go I would suspect chaincase issue.

must be in the chaincase, the best option is to remove the muffler, and roll the sled up on its left side, reomve the chaincase cover and see whats jammed up, you wont lose any oil this way and you can fix or repair whats wrong.

Good suggestion. You could have a huge chunk of ice at the front of the tunnel jamming the track and drivers.

But...like others I suspect you have issues in your chaincase.
