Inside carb float bowl

Took my carb float bowls off and the plastic piece that fits over the main jet is just loose. Should they snap into place or does it really matter. I looked online and port Yamaha sells them for $16.00 each so I can't even imagine what they would cost in Canada? Could someone help me out here before I go and buy new ones if I really don't need to. On the micro fiche it is called a washer, it is white and is shaped like a doughnut.

not sure what your working on but does the bowl hold it in place??????

yes they are a loose a bit but secure.

Those fit loosely. They are there to keep a small amount of fuel around the main jet for momentary severe tipping of the sled. They also help keep air bubbles to a minimum during severe bouncing.
