Just wanted to throw this out there. I finally had a chance to ride one of the new vipers. Dont get me wrong it had a nice ride to it but just seemed to lack power and throttle response. IMO I like the vectors throttle better and seems more suited for the riding I do. Have you guys/girl's had a chance to ride one and what did you think?

I have to agree with you on this, I think I still prefer the original vipers!! Just my .02

Plus the price is hard to dish out for a new one!
I have one. They are a completely different sled. I came off an SXR and it took several weekends to really get used to it, but now I'm loving it. They do take a while to break in, but have monster torque down low. Still working on getting more top end. Maybe the one you rode wasn't dialed in or broke in.

I was wondering that myself. I know they are not setup for myself. But I have to say there seemed to be a lack of throttle responce. Maybe those ones are detuned?

Not ready to shell out 13,500 for a sled that tops out at 85 mph. Put the apex motor in and they we can talk....

may have to modify the chassis to get that engine in there.

my sxr500 tops out at 85! the new vipers should be much faster than that!!
not a good idea to add power to those viper ...if they have the same jackshaft like the cat got its really not a good idea ...they bend and screw up the chain case .....

IMO:
If you are looking for a Hyper Sled...wait for Yamaha or YamaCat to bring out the new Apex or more likely an SRX...they have to be working on it.

Yup other then that it might be a vector as a replacement trail sled

Nice looking but slow and even with the added 50hp they're slow.
