Just wondering if any of you ET250 guys that did the carb swap (Keihin to Mikuni) to your sled was ever able to rig up an oil injection pump cable as well so you did not have to pre-mix your oil and gas? I am doing one right now. Used a split oil injection cable off a Ski-doo 377 Safari and got it to work by building a bracket to hold oil injection cable outer sheath and connecting the cable to oil pump rod with another retrofit connector.
A lot of guys say not to do it because they don't trust the oil pumps but I've never had one fail and I hate mixing gas every fill up. I took my time and built it (in my opinion) quite well and it seems to work fine. Just finishing the project and am happy with the outcome.
Lots of forums on the net about people doing the carb swap but I couldn't find anything about anyone reconnecting the oil injection system after this was done... Guess I'll go "Out on the limb and be first " ??

Can you post your detail about the build? I am very interested in doing this and have actually made a couple aborted attempts. Too low on the priority list, but if I have input from someone who did it, it might get done.

Check back in a bit. I'll post some pics a bit later. I basically used a piece of 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum angle and built a bracket for the cable and attached it under the screws of the float bowl. I used a split throttle cable off a 377 Ski Doo Safari and made a mechanism to catch the end of the oil pump rod and the end of the oil inj. cable.
Used a 34mm Mikuni with 220 MJ , 30 PJ . Works great, no mixing gas.

I Cannot locate the forum that contains the pictures. Can someone help me? I am dying to see the pictures showing the fabricated brackets for the oil injection system.

I'm doing that project too. I just used a light angle iron, actually tin, that I bolted to rear engine mount. I"m going to take the rod off of pump and run the cable through the hole and solder on a lead sinker. I don't have it done yet but I'm hoping this weekend I can finish it up.I was planning one posting pics and list of all the parts that I used.

Used a split throttle cable from a 34mm single carbed sled with a split cable for oil injection. Piece of aluminum 3/4" angle filed out to conform and connected to side of float bowl with float bowl screws (req'd 2 longer screws) which holds oil inj cable. Small red bracket is little formed piece of flat bar to accept cable on one end and oil inj rod on other end. Piece of Teflon plastic that red clip slides against so red clip is not rubbing metal on alum angle. Works great, still has adjustment on oil injection. Been working for a year perfectly but I keep an eye on it to make sure all stays tight.

Carb is vm 34 mikuni 34mm mikuni
220 main
30 pilot
1.5 needle and seat
159-O0 tube
2.5 slide
6DH4 needle middle position

Will easily lift skis on takeoff, no bogging at all.

how can you tell what needle seat and tube you have? Are they labeled ? Measure?

Yep, The needle seat has has a number on the top side and can be only seen with the seat removed from the carb. Same with the primary tube. It will have a number on the outside of it.
