I am pretty sure I am going to pull the trigger and buy 2 vmax
The 1st one is a 99 vmax 600 twin with 2600 miles. A newer 1 inch track plastic skies. Needs a new tach the lens is off the one on it. Thats all that is wrong with it. My 14 year will ride this one
The 2nd one is a 97 sx700 with 2700 miles on it. A newer 1 1/4 track and nothing wrong with it. It is stock metal skies.
This is according to the guy who has them now. I will look at them tommorow morning at 8am. If everything checks out I will be buying them unless you guys tell me these are bad sleds.

Sounds good both these sleds are very good. The twins don't get as good as mileage but still good sleds.

Just check em' out real good. You already own a Yamaha so you know what to look for. I used to get "buyers blindness" years ago. If the sled or whatever was really nice I'd check it over quick and..... "I'll take it!". Fortunately never got burned but now I go into a deal with a whole bag of tools, flashlight, compression guage, etc. and really nitpick, ask a ton of questions and try to get a good read on the seller. There are plenty of Bull$hiters out there. I guess I don't trust alot of people anymore lol!
Those sound like good sleds with low miles. Let us know how you make out.

Well I could not bring myself to buy them after looking at them. The piece the windshield attaches was all broken on both. The one needed a tach. The 700 had animal fur stuck in the spindle. Hand warmers did not work on both and one of the grips was ripped apart. But they ran good track and stuff was good. He was asking 1800 apiece for them had him down to 3000 for both. I still thought that was too much for what they needed. I think the 600 had a rough 2600 miles on it. I will say that 600 twin was no slouch it was pretty fast. I think it would have taken the 700 with ease. Guess I am still kinda looking.

thats good that you didnt just buy them. the end of the season is close and there will be ALOT more sleds going up for sale. besides that, i would stay away from that twin. its a a good platform, just drinks gas like a whore. and steel skis suck!!
