Well.....The ol Srx 600 must be getting tired, she met her match yesterday, lined up against a buddies '03 F5 on hardpack, had ECU remap, clutching, geared down 1 tooth, 1.5 track and shaved heads. did a 40 roll first and he pulled a half a length on me up to about 90 when i started to start gaining on him but we ran out field, lined up again from a dead stop and i got him out of the hole by ten lengths....he couldnt hook up, needless to say i was just surprised how well those things pull midrange :whine:

welllllll the midrange is cause by the ecu remap .....and I think the 03 or close to that year was the fastest f7 they made......but your doing good with a 600

the ecu change alots of stuff .....ask him to put the stock one and u will win lollll

They run real well up 2 the g note if the rider is light than they can have you beat by a couple hundred pounds.

Your clutch set up might be on the "soft" side. Do you have transfer rods? What's your set up?

Dont have transfer rods, running stock track with 192 studs, 8DF-00's w/ 4.5g in tip, BWB primary, green secondary at 60 degrees, Hauck 51/43 helix, 148.5 and 150 mains, 47.5 pilots

Just a thought, whenever I race a sled in our group that I know I've beaten before, and it turns out to be a close race. I always find that replacing the secondary sheave bushing gets that SRX back in front alittle quicker. Maybe it's just my setup, but I replace that bushing every 1500-2000 miles. It's always helped. I've watched the vids of your sled and you seem to have a good setup, but that was last year and I don't know how many mikes you put on in a year.
