Sx700
New member
Hey guys new to the site, I have a 1997 V-max 700 sx, this is my second season with the sled, I absolutely love it, but I've adding some simple mods this year, SLP silencer, comet clutch and clutch kit, usi skis, gold digger picks, and a few other goodies.. I want to raise my rear suspension a few inches, to give me some more clearance, and to stop it from bottoming out on the trails, are there any simple ways to do this? Any kits available? Any help would be awesome! THANKS
put the Maxx Performance long travel kit in or pick up some viper shocks and valve them to your liking.
second vote for "max performance long travel" kit
This kit was actually designed by Bruce Schraeder who now runs pioneer performance
I have run this and a viper set up revalved and actually prefer the bruce kit. It doesnt jack the sled up as much, but has the same drop pout as a viper. This gives you the low cg of a sx, and less rolling resistance.
about 320 of the best money spent.
I beleive the # is 716-496-6000 ask for Bruce

also did the max perf long travel on my rear skid on a 97 700 sx only had a chance to go for a short spin so far but definately worth the money. I am 270lbs with my gear so I opted for the heavy spring it cost another 100 bucks so the whole set up with the spring was 450 or 350 with out spring. Greg at max said that the regular spring is good for 250lbs so if your under 250 you do not need the heavy spring. thier number is 585 384 5810
