I have a 98 SRX700 its been tail ported,V-vorce reeds, air box mod with a tempra-flow,Bender red prim. spring, stock wieghts(8DN-00) with 4.5 gram rivets inner and outer holes and 14.5mm rollers. Roller-roster secondary with a 47/43 helix and green sring at 70, stock gearing and it reves at 8500rpm,i wiegh 250lbs. One inch lug track with 144 studs. This setup works great on the trails and lakes and has been gunned at 122mph. Now for the question,i took the roller-roster off and tried a Bender 9870(51-43)helix same sec. spring and twist, and the sled reves to 9000rpm from start to WOT. I also have a Advan-tege 49-43 helix but didn`t have time to try it, so i put roller-roster back on. Does anyone think the advantage helix will work with my primary set up or can anyone sugest a helix angle that will. THANX!

That advant-edge roller will shift like a 57/53 regular aftermatket helix...pretty steep! The advant-edge billet will shift like about a 54/45. Try the advant-edge billet at 60 degree wrap. It will still rev higher but not as bad as the 51/43.

Thanks Turk.
I will try your suggestion to-day. Does Yamaha or anyone else make heavier rivets than 4.5gram in case it reves over 8500rmps?

If I need more weight I slide in a washer thru the end of the rivet before I peen it over. I have used bolts & nuts or anything that fits. Check spider clearence 1st tho.
