Well i hit a 6" cut stump riding in the UP of MI. It cut my track in half and bent the skid. So im putting in a 2005 pro mountain skid(144") from a viper mountain with rail extensions for a 159" track. Im looking for locating Dims. for this skid. Is there anyone with a Viper mountain/with the pro mountain skid that could
take some measurements for me. My 2002 viper has changed a lot over the years aluminum trailing arms, lightweight can, relocate stock skid for 144" track made my own seat(works great) made my own tunnel extension. It has become a great boondocking tight tree riding sled.
thanks.

Are you sure you want to put a 159 on that sled? The only reason I was asking is because I've heard that once you get over a 155 with a stock engine, you start to lose power because of the heavier track you have to turn. I'm real happy with my 144s. They can keep you on top in the deep but have great maneuverability. I was considering a 151 but never got around to it. I suppose if you gear it down you'll be fine. I would imagine that some people forget to gear it down when tracking up. By the way, I like the mods and the seat looks good.

Yes i will be gearing it down. I was really happy with the 144" x 2" also. I drove it like that for many years. But now that im rebuilding it i need to change things up. And track usa had suck a screaming deal on the 159" i just had to do it ($300).
