I have a 97 vmax twin. I'm getting a vibration in the caliper or clutch. Only happens at low speed. If you brake or speed up. It goes away. New to sleds...any suggestions? Thank you

Belt has a flat spot on it. Do you have a different belt to try?

Yes I do. Never put one on. The guy I bought from said it had a cracked caliper. But it seems fine

I replaced the belt and that wasn't it. It almost sounds like rattling now that I just rode it again.

check the front exchanger protectors.Years back one on my SXR was ready to come off but created a rattle sound at low speed that I heard and it bugged me to hell.Lucky I spotted it before it let go and did any damage to my track or something else.

Is there any burnt blobs of belt stuck to either of the clutches?

Did you put on a new belt or just a different one....I made the mistake of putting a used belt on a Viper that was vibrating...vibration didnt go away so I replaced ALL the bearings...as I was buttoning it back up I looked over at the belt and it was missing a hunk....

I put the belt on that was in the engine compartment. He said it was new. But who knows. Doesn't seem like it's coming from the belt. Tough to tell because it doesn't do it sitting. Only riding. Off throttle. But stops once I stop. I'll check for blobs and try to figure out what the exchangers are. Thanks guys!!
