OK. this is starting to drive me crazy but have an90 srv that just wont rev under load. cleaned carb. pulled primary and secondary apart. All looks fine. rollers in primary are a little worn but shouldn/t make that big of a deal. Sled idles and runs fine. runs and shifts out fine on track stand but as soonas it hits the snow it wont rev over 4 grand?? I checked manifold vaccum lines that go to oil pump and they are fine. CDI perhaps? Any ideas or thought would be greatly appreciated. Replaced all bearings in skid and track turns freely as well. Thanks for you input

Maybe the stator is on it's way out?

What is the history? When did the problem start, had it been sitting for a while, were any changes made?
A mouse nest in the muffler?

Take the pipe off and shake it, there is a metal baffle inside the pipe that breaks off and at idle and low rpm causes no problems but at high rpm's it plugs the outlet hole.

thought of that so I took secondary and pipe off my brothers srv and put on mine...same thing .Cant try that with his primary as his bolt is stripped . As I mentioned the rollers have a little slop and cams looks good( nothing worn ) Both sleds stock and carb just taken apart for third time and cleaned. It doesn 't bog, runs on both cylinders. Even in deep snow it will just go thru it .It just does not rev out. Puzzling!
