,frustrating doesn't quite come close to describing how I feel about this sled right now.I just nicely got the engine back together and running Wednesday night after having to get a bent connecting rod replaced, the engine was working great and and running strong and just quit running down the trail at about 60mph.Pitch black and all of a sudden no lights, not a good feeling. If I get the ambition later today I may take the heads off and and see what's going on with that much of it at least but I highly doubt this sled will be running again this winter.

It's starting to get painful reading your posts! I can't remember seeing someone have so much bad luck in one year with their sleds, I feel for you man!
Hang in there... things will get better... don't light a match to them yet!

I know, the 01 was trouble free last season but then again I never put that many miles on it either but this year has been one to forget. My 98 hasn't offered any issues in years but the drive axle thing really threw me for a loop.I'd never seen a Yamaha around here with a drive axle issue like this, but luckily the 98 is back in action just in time.
