I just installed a Daytona digital water temp gauge from Bender racing. They said to install before the thermostat on the return side. I installed the T right before the coolant bottle inline. My question is what temp should the coolant be returning. I am seeing 130-155 degrees depending on the conditions. At what temp will the temp warning lite come on. By the way this is a stock Viper. I also installed a water temp guage on my 2002 SRX and it typically runs at approx 140'F or slightly less.
The water temp light does not illuminate until above 190'F...you have entered well into the danger zone before the light comes on!
