I see there are two different piston options for my 2002 700MM
What is the difference? Which is right for mine?
Thanks in advance
Option #1 8DG-11631-00-A0 PISTON (STD) | (8EJ3)
option #2 8CH-11631-00-A0 PISTON (STD) | (8ED3)

8DG's are for the 600's. you want the 8CH for your 700.
parts for the 6 and 7 use the same microfische, you just have to double check the pre-fixes. 8ED pertains to your 700 mtn max.

I think I have an issue and I just want to get the right parts. According to the Yamaha dealer I have a 600 5th and 6th letter in Viv# is EJ but I have 698CC cylinders and components installed. What should I do or order?
Thanks in advance!

no issues, somewhere down the line someone made a 7 out of your 6. common practice. all else being equal, no difference between the 6 and 7 short of the cylinders and a few other parts. if your cylinders are marked with 698, you want the 8CH parts. pistons and rings.
