I have replaced (or rather am trying to) brake pads and need more adjustment in order to bolt caliper assembly back onto chaincase ... if not, I would be clamping the pads to the rotor via the two large m12 mounting screws?! Pls help explain (even with pics?) how to get this done! I have tried to do a search and have come up with nothing helpful.
thanks

Use a c clamp or grips and press the side that the hyd hose is attatched back in.Its like a car if that helps.
Not hydaraulic ... from handlebar to lever is just like bicycle; wire in sheath - from there there is a fixed pad (#1 then rotor (#1 - steel disk mounted to splined shaft) then movable side pad (#19) then rest of movable side assembly ... how to adjust (#3) in so that pad pusher #14 is driven into or deeper into #4?

Sorry my bad I thought you had hyd well if that's the case the plunger turns or the pad pusher I think you remove it and turn the inside with a driver you will hear it clicking as you turn it.

When I put that adjuster on my et, I ended up taking it right apart to get it reset. That was 5 months ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy on how my brother and I did it.
If anyone else needs to find solution, here it is:
take off tin cap & remove clicker assembly, place to side. unscrew center pin #3 with flat screwdriver and it will receed into #4 as required. re-assemble & install. thats it & its that easy. not even half a wbbly pop worth of work.
I already broke and replace the un-numbered two eared mounting bracket due to piece of ice or dirt falling in between & soft metal just clipper her off, so did not want to make any more mistakes!!
thanks in advance for help
