Hey all,
I know this has been covered a bunch but I can't seem to find any pictures of this mod. I know the bottom corner needs ground down some for clearance by the boot. Also have to grind off little tab from tunnel and put washer behind mount on bottom hole. So I think I got a pretty good idea of how much to grind off to do these steps simple enough.
I'm not sure how much to grind off the mount for the shock clearance part though. I don't want to grind more off then I need to so if anyone has some pics or a link to pics it would be greatly appreciated. I took a pic of area I'm talking about.
Thanks,
PH

They don't need to be trimmed too much. Remember when you mount the shock to your trailing arm it will be at an angle. Just trim a little bit at a time until it fits right. Then copy the same thing to the other bracket. Also I don't remember weather it was top or bottom, but if you put a few washers it mounts straighter and easier. I have attached some pictures to help. They are not the best but getting the angle was tough.

Sorry for the long time responding
Hey Yamisxviper,
Sorry it took me so long to get back on here been a real hectic few weeks. Thanks for the pics they helped a lot. I ended up doing this mod and it works great. I probably took a little more then needed off the brackets. I put 3 washers behind the bottom bolt hole. Was worried about the boots rubbing on the shocks but seems to be okay. Between putting the new edge skid on and doing this mod it rides 1000 times better.
Made a trip to Cadillac MI on 3/15 put 122 miles on that Saturday those our some beautiful trails up there it was my first time I was amazed. We don't have anything like it down here. Mad props to all the groomers up there.
Awesome trip other then the old white haired lady that rear ended us 25 five miles from home on way up there ripped the hitch off the truck put big grooves in my sled hood from my buddies picks trashed the trailer. We had to do emergency surgery put a new hitch on truck and lose the Friday night ride we were dedicated lol. But any how I took some pics of the brackets and the aftermath of wreck.
Thanks again,
PH

Its not an exact science, whatever works. Glad it worked out, sucks about your sled though. I let my kid drive on my last trip and he flipped the sled with us both on it, no one was hurt but the fairings on my viper and my windshield broke.
