If a redhead is ported, will it benefit at all from reed spacers or boost bottles? Would it be safe to thin the head gasket? Not thinking of doing anything this year, but I just bought a 700 Mtn Max with "Mad Max" porting and Bender pipes and I was wondering.
Yes boost bottle and reed spacers work good on ported redheads. Thin head gaskets adds compression and will need to run good fuel all the time and may need to jet it up. Don can sure smarten up a redhead motor he did one for me.
