Can anyone tell me anything about the old 340 Citation? are they any good?

I believe ski-doo made a Citation 340 in the very late 70s or very early 80s. I'm pretty sure Yamaha never made a sled by that name unless it was a renamed in sled in some other country I wasn't aware of.

Enticer was the 340 during that era. Great sleds!! Bullet proof is a description used by many. I would agree.
Ovation maybe? (late 80's early 90's) Same basic engine as the Enticer but with a more modern suspension. Also a Great sled.
Can't go wrong with any of these fan cooled Yamaha's.

fixed the title for you eaglejason.
I bought one for the kids a couple of years ago. It is a perfect machine for them. New riders, smaller and easy to handle and it goes pretty darn good. I go 250lbs and it is fun to ride. It is easy to start as I once looked into adding e start. Really don't need it. Keep the carb clean and the oil filled, just replaced the hyfax and the belt. Thing will idle all day long not over heat and they can putt around or flat out run it. My kids are 10 and 12. Been riding for several years and love that sled. Will be hard to get rid of it as they get more experienced and like riding my Viper.

I always liked the Ovation. The windshield hight makes them look a little goofy and some of the color combo's they came in weren't so appealing but they are fun to ride. Chop the windy down a bit and with a good color combo they start to look a little tough.
Cool thing about the Ovation is that the 485 Phazer power plant and drive are a direct bolt in and an Aaen Phazer pipe fits.
Makes for one super fun little sleeper sled.

Thanks Maim, for fixing the title. Thanks to everyone for the answers. new to machines and even newer to Yamaha. so far love my 700 SXr and hate my Vmax 500. power is good on both, but the Vmax shakes and darts, no matter what i've done, and the SXr is bolted to the ground, no matter what I do
Love the reliability though, have had fewer non operator induced problems than guys with new ACE's this winter.

They are great little sleds! Similar to the enticers...didn't know you could drop a phazer engine in them though. That would be kewl!
