I recently purchased a 08 mtx with 1500 miles on it the seller knew nothing about the sled it has an air box delete with some type of chip that runs wired to the intake air temp sensor and on the first time out it started to throw a code for an air box sensor. I inspected the wires and it all looks good im wondering if maybe the sensor is bad or if the chip is maybe bad?

Welcome to the site. This is the two stroke side. You might get a better response on the 4 stroke side. Even though its the same site I believe you will have to register on the 4 stroke side as well. Good luck! Lots of fellow Yamaha owners more than willing to help you out.
