can 98 gears and chain be used in a 2000 SRX?

Just wondering if I can use the older style gears and chain in a 2000 SRX?

As long as you use the gears and chain as a set,don't mix the old style,silent chain,and new style HYVO together.Otherwise they will bolts on exactly as the stock HYVO set from your 2000.
