I have a 2002 Viper & would like to buy & install oversize wheels in the suspension. My question is which ones would be best to buy and where the best to buy them from. I want to be able to remove the bearings if needed. I would like to install the new wheels the same way they are bolted to the rails from the factory. Also do I have to change the rear guide wheels or can I leave them stock. I do not run the marginal wheels in the front part of the rails. By changing to oversize wheels will this affect the wheel sprockets on the front axle. Thank's in advance.

On my 128" SXR I installed the Polaris 5.375 small idler wheels throughout, plus I installed 8" rear axle wheels 4 in all. All bolted on easily just as the OEM wheels did. I did not change the rear axle either. Now with over 3,500 miles on the new track and hyfax I can tell you, very minimal wear. I don't plan on changing the hyfax next year either. I have already changed the idle wheels on two other sleds we have. Viper and the other SXR I plan on installing 7.5 rear wheels on the 121 and 8" on the Viper. Another easy and good modification. Good luck Al

I should also state, the 128" sled has a relocated skid back 3 1/2" this allows for a less approach angle of the leading edge of the track. Also less contact pressure on the front curve of the skid. Al
