Local dealer has a low mileage 2002 SRX that was damaged by a customer who wrecked his truck while this sled was in the trailer behind. He's letting it go cheap. Sled is perfect except the tunnel got slightly bent. I can find viper tunnels all over ebay, but no SRX. Would it fit? I don't know the extent of the damage as he just called to let me know about it. Said the front is perfect and no damage, bone stock sled. Said he thinks its a $500-1k fix. Anyone have an SRX tunnel? ha ha

There is one in ottawa forsale on kijiji 250 with ownership

They should interchange just fine. Only issue would be VIN on tunnel would label it as a Viper. Viper usually don't come with a rear exchanger so SRX rear exchanger would have to me moved over as well. Changing the tunnel would be quite the project. Lots of rivets that your run of the mill pop rivet gun wouldn't handle. Might be easier to find a 00+ SRX (or even a 98-99) with a blown motor and move everything over (motor/hood/electronics). A lot of work but considering what you have to tear apart to change tunnel still an easier project. I myself would lean towards straightening/bracing existing tunnel and RIDE IT.....I have a low buck 99 SRX 700 I nick named stump rash. Wont win any trophies at the sled show and shine but runs like a top and I am into it CHEAP!

If I could get out of it with out changing the tunnel that would be great. At that point, it might just be worth passing up all together. He quoted $1500 as is or $2-2.5k fixed. I'm going to take a look at it later this week.

You guys In the states have it made! A really nice Srx here in canada is around $3500...an abused one with a blown motor is still worth 800-1000...most around my area have been abused and parted out...they are very rare here

Being an 02 (DCS) and low mileage it makes it worth a few more bucks than another year. 100% agree it would need to be at least rideable for me to drop that kind of money on it during the off season.
