Hey all, just bought a set of scratchers for the Srx, but with those outside wheels up front there's not much space to mount them...anyone drill the rivits out of the rail caps and install them there? Would be ideal to get them as forward as possible!
Thanks guys!

the ones I have will blind the rider behind you as well..lol.They throw a lot of snow and chunks. When my stepson was following close behind, chunks where nailing him on his face shield..to funny.
This is what I came up with...still has enough room to fold back so I can get it put of the garage with them up! And they are far forward for best cooling!

I like that mount spot a lot, Nice job. Will you have enough down force with them up in the curve of the rail like that?
I was concerned with that as well, but the instructions say that the mounting hole is ideally 2-3" from the inside of the track...It was 2.75" so within spec but it may be trial and error,
I would have mounted them lower but the bend for putting them in the up position would be too much I think...trial and error most definatly lol

Wow very nice. I never had directions with mine so i just went with what look right at the time, i bought them used. I may have to change my mounting points now as i really like the looks of that. Plus you should be throwing way more snow into the skid. Mine are just behind the second wheel but i am running a 144" track. THanks for the info and pics.
Ahh that's true! I'll report back on how they work mounted there, and if any other adjustments are needed

i had snow saver wheels up front so mine went here. where vipergytr put them is a real good place too. i have zero cooling or slide issues where mine are either though. my sled never gets above 136 degrees all winter. very happy with them. i did manage to break a tip on my last ride though. not sure how that happened.
Too bad about breaking the tip bud but at least they are replaceable! Keep a few in the toolbox from now on!
I was going to mount them where yours are but I wanted to try as far forward as I could...went riding yesterday but we just had some fresh the. Jung before...the next few weeks I'll really need them
