I am dropping from a 22 to a 21 gear on my Viper. Does this wrap look correct? The pic that wraps all the way is the original 22.I know it may not be exactly the same due to the smaller diameter but I have never noticed this before when gearing sleds. The gears inside radii appear to be the same so I think its a hyvo,it just seams like it should wrap better.
Thanks in advance.

the pic on the left is not a hyvo sprocket, you can see that by the tip of the tooth, its not rounded. Thats why it wont fit nice like the pic on the right.

All righty then, I measured the inside radius with pins and did notice the outside looked a bit different but wasn't sure if it was an illusion or what, my outside radius gauges didn't really fit either gear to get a clear picture there .When you say the tip is not rounded do you mean the tip on the flat side of the gear...90° from the pics above?Knowing that you could tell right away between the two types
Thanks,

Thanks,
This is the view I was trying to explain above. The left gear is the hvyo, the outside has a distinct radius where the other(right) is more of an angle/chamfer on the edge

the standard 13 wide is a pointed style tooth, and even though they look the same sorta, when they are side by side with a hyvo tooth youll notice the standard tooth is more pointed and it fits further up into the chain, what it ends up doing is taking a bit more space every link it engages so it basicly changes the pitch and the reason the chain will only fit it for so far as in your pic shows.
