I have a 97sx 700 that the previous owner overheated and put a 99 head on when he rebuilt. Insted of keeping the carb heat line plugged on the head I want to add heated carbs. So I picked up a mint set of 600... I believe carbs and want to make sure they are the same size before I tear everything apart. Still need to pick up a 99 water pump cover. Anyway I'm obviously planning on switching all jets/ needles ect, when I do the swap but is the main carb body the same size on the sleds? Thanks, -JF

I could be wrong but I think the 700's had the 33's and the 600's had the 31's.
Thank you sir! Measured them today, and they are indeed 33's

Per tech pages here red head triple 600's did come with 31's. Power valved triples both came with 33's.

I saw that on there too, then I went to a Yamaha parts site and it shows that the carbs are the same for the 600's and 700's.

i dug into my tech manuals all show 600 triple 31 mm. now with that said and knowing yamaha, measure them. if you have 33, their probley 700 triple carbs. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Thats what was confusing me; I was looking at the parts microfische and it was looking like both had the same sizes. Makes sense though that the power valved machines would have the 33's? I guess I just lucked out. Measured from Engine side (ID).
