I have a 1979 Enticer 340. I broke the right side drive bearing on the shaft with the sprockets on it and have been trying to fix it, but I can't get the nut on the end of the shaft to come loose to take of what's left of the bearing. I am just wondering if anyone has any information to help me. Is the nut left hand or right hand threaded? Do I need to take the whole shaft off? Any tips on getting it loose?

nut is right hand thread from what I remember but it has been 20 years since I had to do that bearing on a et340. if the nut is still available, you might have to cut it off and clean the threads. shaft does not usually have to come out to replace it but I would recommend backing off the track tension to make the job easyer.

Thanks, Maim. Good information. I am going to try a few more things to get the nut loose. I will post back if I have success.
