I just bought a new track off of eBay, it's a Camoplast Cobra 121x15x1.375 did I make a good buy? I think I did well, what do you think?

Nah think I will keep it, and putting it on my 1997 Vmax 600 xt. Should be alright the fitment chart said that it would fit.

You will have to remove protectors or it will rub on them.

usually on the front of the tunnel cooler.
we just notched the track lugs that would hit on my brothers 02 viper when we put the 1-1/4" ripsaw on it.

Or you can Notch as Maim stated... it will hit the tunnel protectors in the front above the drivers.

So notch the track is probably the first thing to do
If you dont want to pull the tunnel protectors, yes you will need to notch the track.

As long as you dont stud... there will be no problems to have them removed.

They are are square tubes that are riveted to the tunnel from the bumper to front heat exchanger up inside the tunnel....

That would be the plastic square tubes that run the length of the tunnel, those are not on my sled and doesn't look like it has ever had those mounted because it has never been studded.

Then you should be all set... some sleds came with them in in you case it may not have had them ever .... and thats right the older Vmax had plastic channels or angles.
