So its time for a new track for my 02 viper. I think I want to go with the Hartman 136 kit. Has anyone tried it? Also what is the best track to accommodate it? I wanna run studs because we Ru. A lot of hard pack/ ice up here.

Not to much difference between different kits but as far as going 136" lots have done it and lots have loved doing so. I wouldnt go any bigger than 1.25" lug tracks on the hard pack. Comoplast makes decent pre studded tracks if you havent already looked into them.

Exactly my thoughts. I have had a 1.25 w/o studs and a 1" with studs. 1" with studs is the way to go IMO...
Much less problems that way. Do not stud a 1.25 on a stock viper. Just asking to problems. 1" gives you no worries...

for speed, I recommend jd's set up. if they are mainly for safety and control, then an 1-1/4" ice ripper would fit the bill.
in the end, it is your $ and your choice.
I do like the Hartman stuff I have used in the past on brothers rxwar.

I used a Hartman kit on my 07 Attak and was very disappointed. The extension cracked where the snowflap attached. This was after very little use. Tried calling him about my problem and he hung up on me.
