2001 srx. Let a friend ride it and apparently he didn't notice the red light flashing on the dash. The sled was in an accident before this ride and was left upside down for 2 hours.... maybe the coolant drained out? Or thermostat got stuck. We put 100 miles on it the day before it over heated. And another 50 on the day it over heated. Odd that it went that long before overheating.

Pulled heads. ... bad o rings on two heads and the piston on the cylinder that didn't have a bad o ringhas a small account of carbon below the 2nd ring. Any thoughts as to the cause of all this?

Sled at all spring and summer and the cases are full of antifreeze. What needs to be done to save the crank?

with it sitting in there a long time, the only thing to do at this point is to pull the engine and take it apart and see if the crank bearings are rusty, even surface rust will cause them to self destruct rather quickly.
