The skis for my viper 8fe-23711-00-bk are obsolete at this time. Does any one know of a set of good Yamaha replacement skis or a good after market
ski that would fit.

Any ski from an apex, nytro, or viper should work. Try and get the bolts with them too, as they may be a bit longer.

I heard some people like the Yamaha tuner skies that came out a few years ago. Local dealer swears by them

up until 2010, the stock Yamaha ski is a direct bolt on replacement for your saddle type stockers. carbides and loops are the same. 2011 eps sleds had a different ski that still works but the loops are different. carbides are the same as I put my take off 2011 apex xtx skis on my brothers 02 sx viper before he sold it.

Does this apply to the steelies on a 96?up until 2010, the stock Yamaha ski is a direct bolt on replacement for your saddle type stockers.
I put on a pair of skies off from a 2014 SR Viper. They bolted right on my 02 Viper.

I have some used stock skis or a set of black simmons dual carbide skis if you can't find anything

only works on a proaction across. the pocket on the saddle less skis is not deep enough for the tss fronts. i did try with a set of apex mountain skis on a vk 540III, but i would have been into the keel as there is not enough room to clear the tss. apparently the new vkpro front ski has a removable part to solve this problem but i do not know how they handle on the trail.
