I am prepping a 2001 SXR 700 and have greased all the fittings but 2&4 shown in the Yamaha manual as part of the front suspension (see pics) I can find the areas shown in the picture, but there are no grease fittings to be found. I did find the one steering grease fitting underhood and the 2 outer suspension grease fittings, but the manual shows 2 and the rod ends (and I have a swivel with a sealed bearing) and 4 where the 2 rods are bolted through the frame, and those are sealed bearings also. The manual definitely calls out for grease fittings, but even the picture does not show grease fittings?
Any help, first time going over this sled. It's in great condition for 3k miles and never let me down last year. It's clean and original per the PO. Any hints on these fittings called out in the Yamaha shop manual?
Here's a pic of the fittings I'm looking for.
Thanks for any helpful guidance on this,
Reb

no zerks there. what yamaha is directing you to do is to pull the bolts and collars and grease them. best to clean them prior to lubing. same thing with the pictured heim joint.

Thanks snowdad4, That makes perfect sense. Thanks for your experienced guidance on this. This is now my Son's sled and I'm trying to teach him to take care of it and do the maintenance right and not skip steps. The previous owner had meticulously cared for it so we want to continue down that path. We'll get here apart and greased.
