I know there are others with this problem. I have an 01 MM 700. Over the years it has become harder and harder to pull over. After a cold night it is almost impossible. Pulls over fine with no plugs in, seams to rotate fine at the clutch end, i replaced the recoil. After the first start of the day everything is good. 1 handed pullover and start.

Good synthetic oil helps. I hear shutting the sled off with the choke works to
This may sound stupid, but did you check that the rope isn't tangled in that thing that the handle rests on, just inside the cowl?

Pull the head and look for excessive carbon buildup. I also shut off all of my mowers, snowmobiles & small engines by choking them out. It saturates the combustion chamber w/ fuel for easy start-up on the next cold start.

When it's really cold out (below zero), I usually just pull it slowly the first one or two times just to loosen it up. Sometimes even just rotating the clutch a couple times.
