I was able to find a set of carbs for my 99 SX 600 locally for a great price. The set of carbs on my sled had been all messed with and missing parts internally so I decided to buy a whole nother set.

The carbs that I got used are,, from what the jetting indicates,, from a 99 SRX600. My sled calls for much smaller jets which is no big deal, I could swap the jets from my stock carbs to the new used ones,, The only real difference other than the jet sizes is the bore sizes..

My stock carbs are 31mm and the ones that i purchased used are 33mm bore. Is there anything to take into consideration as far as compensating for different slightly larger bore carbs? Or should I be able to just swap the jets from carb to carb and be OK? Any advantage to using the larger bore carbs as far as future performance mods?

Any input would be appreciated. Thank You. :sled1:

those carb's will work just fine.just jet for your motor with the main jets.check the size of pilots they should be close.you will have to wait until winter to check color of plug's.

Right On, I figured that I would have had to compensate for the larger bore size with slightly larger jets. I actually contacted the guy I got the carbs from and he had another set of stock carbs for my sled so i exchanged them for what my sled had. I shouldve kept the larger carbs because they were Much cleaner all around. But I just want it to run the way it was designed from Yamaha.
Thanks for the reply.
