just tearing into my newly acquired 01 srx whats with the dark rings on the mag and pto pistons?

thats the factory caoting on the pistons to keep the piston more slippery/rings from sticking as easily, its on the newer srx, the center piston is likely a 98-99 piston(still the same piston just without the coating)
