USI –SPX skis

USI –SPX skis on an RX-1. I was at a dealer on Saturday that had a factory demo ride. The dealer’s demo RX-1 had the SPX skis on it and I rode his sled just after riding the factory RX-1 demo. WOW! These skis track very well and stay on top of the snow. I was talking to one of the guys there from Yamaha and he told me that Yamaha has tested the USI skis and they work very well, in fact he likes them the best, but the factory bean counters always win out and buy the least expensive option. Too bad! I remember buying a new suburban that was a turd in snow… until I replaced the junky OEM tires with something better, then it was like a new truck, or in that case, it was better than new. I think maybe tires are a lot like skis good skis make a good sled even better! What do you think?

I think it would be great if you coulde order a sled with component deletion as an option, like not getting a radio in a car. could delete skis, skid, shocks, maybe even the seat or clutches/ calibration. how many would prefere an expertX and C&As especialy if the factory would knock off 750 or so

I know it'll never happen, but it might get them some buyers who are on the edge.
