So currently the sled has 8EK-00 weights with 4.5 grams in the first hole nothing in the second. Sled has a R-Y-R primary spring and a solid red secondary. I picked up the sled at the end of last year and rode it for 50 miles last year at the end of the season engagement was snappy at 4200 but the sled was over reving it was hitting 9300 or 9200 rpm. I need to bring that down to around 8700 rpm. Should I just add 4 grams of weight to the end or should I be looking at different weights I think Someone told me 1 gram was = to 100 rpm is that even close? Thanks in advance TY users

tip weight will lower you revs down. your on the right track;)!

All about trial an error.

My viper with with bender pipes and 8ek weights. I think the total weight was around 52.5. I'll go threw my notes and see what I have in the weights for rivers and weight. But I'm pretty sure total weight wAs 52.5. But I was also useing different springs then u are in your set up.

I thought a piped viper would run the higher RPM? To get the HP out of them. I would research Bender pipes and see what they should run.

AgPetro, like you said Bender wants 8700 rpm, I do have the bender setup sheet I just didn't want to spend the cash on heel clickers and the rest of the stuff in the kit which is over $300 at least. Kinda wanted to see if I could get what I already had to work better. Be interested to hear what your total weight , spring setup and RPM was Luke. TY rocks!

I have a solid red primary spring and a white with blue secondary spring. I will have to check out what I have for weights. I know its the same weights on the bender sheet but have added weight on the heels. I see that kit from bender is $390 now. I got that clutch kit four years ago for $360. Might want to call bender racing and tell them what you have and see what they say you should do. When I have got ahold of someone there they have always been helpful.

Canadian Nytro. My weights were 52.2. All white with blue stripe for sec. Yellow with orange stripe and 2 shims (both 4.0 mm)for primary. Bender helix. Can't remember angle. But I dur know it said 02 vtp on it. My rpm was spot on at 8800.
