01 Vmax DLX 600 all stock has frozen track that wont spin. Its like its locked. The secondary moves 3in left to right. All the clips on the clutch side have a white fluffy like substance on them? The chain case dipstick was clean. I think its the track shaft bearing? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.:o|

Sounds like the chain is loose (3" L/R movement) and the track is welded to the slides (white fluffy stuff).

Pry the track away from the slides and replace the slides - inspect the track clips.

We're you ridding it on the grass? Might have heated up the slides and melted them. Get the pry bar and BFH out

That did the trick for the track. Slow ride with my son on hard snow. The hifax look good. I still have to tighten the chain up. Thanks.

I've seen many folks with this issue on Lk. St. Clair when we have marginal snow. You may hear a bit of a rumble eminating from the hyfax until the impressions in the hyfax from the track clips are worn down. The smell of burning plastic is a good indicator - ride to some powder before stopping.
