Hello,
I have the engine out of my sled while I get the front suspension/steering rebuilt. While it is out I figured I'd take a look at the oil pump. When I rebuilt the engine a few years ago, I just bolted the pump back on and bled the air out. Seems to go through a lot of oil when I'm riding. I pulled the pump off and wanted to take a look. My manual specifies the procedure for setting the pump stroke, but I can't decipher how to do it from the blurry pictures. Can anyone help guide me through what I need to be looking for? Additionally, I'd like to clean out all of the old dirty grease and put new in. Is there anything I need to watch out for when I do this? Can I use the blue Yamaha marine grease I have?

Also, I noticed that when I pulled the pump cover off, there appears to be a very thin amount of gasket sealant on the surface. Would Yamabond work when I reassemble? What is the p/n for the paper gasket?

I answered some of my questions through the review of oil pump information in a Bravo 250 manual I found online. It had much more detailed information than the SS440 I was referencing. Called out Yamabond to put the parts back together. I'm still not sure if there is a rebuild kit out there? Just trying to find replacements for the seals/gaskets before I put it back together.
