Water pump seal on 700. HOW DO YOU GET IT TO FIT?

Having trouble getting the water pump seal to fit. Have had it in the freezer for 2 hours thinking it would shrink some,but no luck. Any help please!
 

I had the same problem when I replaced mine. I remembered getting the gasket cold so it was a smaller size too but yea I fought with pressing it in slowly in small sections then quickly bolting it on.
 
Had this in freezer over nite still can not get it to fit.Just no way.

I put a little layer into the groove on the cover of RTV holds it in place then on gaskets like you speak of I have cut a little pc on top side then put little extra rtv over the cut
