I am completing a chassis swap from a SC-5 SKI DOO Summit 146" into my 99 SRX700. I have found a lot of measurements on the SC10 but I am interested in knowing if anyone else may have done this. I have measurements from a donor sled but I did not take them and would really like confirmation before I make my tunnel look like swiss cheese.

Im assuming you mean the suspension skid. Lots of 144" skids have been installed on here but a sc5 146.. Idk. Your best bet is to look over on doo talk. Heck you could take a tape measure to a doo dealer and casualy measure the mounting points. "Casually"

It would be the skid. The track length is 146" X 2.25" Would I not need to find the same year sled that this came out of or would any Rev-XP chassis be the same?

The 146" is from a summit xp yes. Again. Suspension swaps are nothing new but your asking some yammy guys a question about doos. Its more than possible someone has your answer but the guys over at dootalk are better "suited" to help you out. Oh and youl need 2.86 pitch drivers with the 146" track.

I have done all necessary changes with respect to extrovert drivers, gearing, clutching, etc. I have posted several times on the dootalk site and have not received a single response. I was hoping someone may have done something similar in the past. Thanks.

I would mock it up myself if I was doing it. You need a measurement of the mounting holes off the old sled because you have to pull down the rear axle to compress the skidframe so it will work as it was made to do.Now this was on the sc10 3 I don't know about a 5 but is likely the same deal. This is done with a small ratchet strap if you follow what I am saying.

Back the adjuster bolts right off and install.Tie the front of the sled off and pull the skidframe back so the track is tight with whatever you have, the sled has to be hanging from the back bumper more or less were you want.Mark it remove and drill.the limiter straps should be tightened up as you are putting it in a lower sled.
If you go to sled teq forum 2nd page there is replacing stock suspensions post that might help.
