Hey guys, new to the forum. I'm located in NW Indiana and just had a 85 Vmax come free in a trade. It is a little rough but compression is good and spark is there.
I'm waiting on the service manual to show up, but I'm looking for some engine pics in the meantime.
I need to find the location of the ignition module and some pictures of the wiring. I just picked up an airbox on Ebay and an oil container, but it turned out to be the wrong one. It is for a SRV, not a Vmax.
If anyone has some spare parts to sell or trade, please let me know. I am looking to put the oil injector system back on it. The pump is there, but it's missing the T's that inject into the fuel lines.
Here is my parts wish list if anyone has anything they would like to part with, please let me know. I will be searching Ebay hoping to get going before the first decent snow.
Carb grommets from air box to carbs. (2)
Oil injection container
Oil injection T's for fuel lines.
Ignition switch
Temp gauge sending unit housing (plastic piece that goes in the small radiator hose line)
I am sure that is not all.
Also, the steering is not centered at all. Is there an adjustment in there somewhere? It will turn much sharper to the right then the left.
I will get some pictures up.

You need to go to vintagevmax.com and read for a couple of days, that will get you up to speed.

Was off for cleaning and to check for holes at the moment sorry haha
