Just got a 99 vmax, pulled the exhaust can out and this fell from somewhere. Anyone know what it is?

I think you're right COB. I'd guess a battery hold down.

not always. all the sleds we have if the tool kit hold down is that style, it has no pull tab.

There is a tool kit in the back of the seat with the strap on it, it's a little smaller with the tab. A buddy of mine thought it might be to hold a oil bottle, but I don't see where it would go. I'll check the battery to see if it's missing a strap, looks to be about that size.
