Over the summer I picked up a 2001 SRX w/1700 miles has aaen pipes, vforce reeds & the air box is gutted from what i can see, dont know if there is any internal engine work, engine runs & sounds GR8. My plan is to check it all out & do all the maintenance on it, I removed the carbs & cleaned them noticed pto jet 152.5 ctr 152.5 & mag 153.8 , I thought the pto jet was to be larger ? is this because the heat from the pipes near the mag cyl ? or did someone put the jet in the wrong spot ? all 3 pilots were 42.5 & screws were @ 1.25 turns out which looks ok? any input on this issue ? Because of the mods to this sled, in particular the Aaen pipes, all the stock jetting specs are not relevant. I would say the previous owner has jetted this sled for the mods they have added so just clean everything up, run new fresh premium and when you hit the snow check your plugs and piston wash.
