I removed my Front shocks from my Viper to see what kind of condition they are in. In the process of removing the shocks I destroyed the lower rubber mount/bushing/damper part on the shock. The mounting bolt was like fused with the bushing inside the rubber portion and twisted and was destroyed which seems to be common on older sleds. Now its just a a large hole with no rubber in it on the bottom of the KYB shock.
My question is ..... What is this little rubber part with bushing inside it called exactly and where can they be bought individually???? its just a circular piece of rubber with a metal bushing type thing inside it.
Ive searched ebay and amazon and yahoo search.....no luck
Searched Bikebandit.com micro fiche thing and its not listed separate from the shock on there.

You could call hygear suspension or pioneer performance to see if they have the bushings. Also could try you're local yamaha dealer. I had the same problem with my viper when I removed the shocks from the rear. I ended up going with plastic bushings due the the crazy price of the medal/rubber bushings.

If im not mistaken i think its the same bushing as the one the upper shock mount bolts to in the bulk head which you can buy seperate. I may have a look tomorrow.
And assuming I can find these things, how are they installed? Just glue?

They would have to be pressed in with a press.
can anyone confirm if they are the same bushing thats the upper part of the shock mounts to in the bulkhead?
