Hey all, I'm new to the Yami forum and had a couple questions.

I'm looking at picking up a 340 enticer to tow my kids around and ride with this winter and the ad says it runs but it idles high. Anything I've read in the forums says I'm better off to dump the stock carb and go with a 36mm Mikuni round slide.

Is there much involved other then switching them out? I'm probably gonna take the stock carb apart and clean it thoroughly and try that before I do anything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Leave it stock. Just clean the carb. They are super simple as is the whole machine. Bullet proof fun sleds.

You could turn down the idle a bit.

There's a novel idea, eh? I'll have to try that first.

Hope it works out. A buddy of mine is going to check it out (it's 4 hours south of me) within a week. I had a 440 exciter as a kid and it was just that. Bullet proof and fun!

Like opsled said, they are very simple so there's no need to make changes. Try turning down the idle a tad and clean the carb. It should run fine if everything else checks out.

But I would definitely start with the idle...
