Longer track for my sxr

I'm thinking of putting a longer track 174x16x? in my 2001sxr700. Already have a 144x16x2 in there. Does any one have suggestions as to a rear skid I should use? Also going to narrow the front end down to 38" like the mountain sleds, was thinking of just cutting and re-welding the control and steering rods. Anyone see a problem with that. Any insight would be appreciated.

You may have problems getting enough hp to spin that track well. As far as the skid goes that will be a whole new challenge. You will most likely need to find a 162 and set it back but all measurements will be custom.

You may have better luck finding mountain Max radius arms and tie rods on eBay than going the cut and weld route.
