alright friend has a brand new F7 with a lot of studs looks like more then 200. i have my 98 700 sx PSI modblasters, clutched, and 120 studs on stock track. lined them up tonight. his was definitly hooking up better and for the first 50 feet he had me then it was dead even. think when i put my transfer rods on, bender ts3, i will be able to adjust it so i can get better off the line and beat him? we were maybe a sled length apart after the first 50-75 feet and thats how it stayed.

All do reality the sx isnt that far from the f7 in weight, yours isnt that far from a stock f7 hp wise. So they should be close but i still think the f7 will pull you up top

I don't know about that, I got many F-7's with the SXR and I think the SX was faster, it was definitely quicker. Pull both your clutches, take them apart and clean the snot out of them. Get a real 3M green scotch bright pad and Acetone. If your primary spring and secondary springs are more than 2 years old get rid of them and get new ones. Check your weights and rollers for wear. Check your clutch buttons for wear. Re-assemble and check your belt deflection and offset. Also look and see where your motor is sitting. All these things will do the most unbelievable good things to your driveline. The best way to scuff up your secondary is when it's apart in 2 halves. The primary is best done at idle while installed on the sled. run you hand with the pad up and down over the clutch faces while it is spinning. I know it sounds dumb but it works the best. Then acetone the clutch faces. Last make sure your belt is new not 1 year old. A one year old belt might feel good and work good but it will not win you this race. With the same green 3m pad scuff the belt and acetone the belt (if it's brand new WASH THE BELT IN DAWN DISH SOAP) with HOT water twice to get rid of the mold release. Your sled will spank that cat. What gears and clutching are you running. Also with all the HP you got 120 studs might actually wreck your track by pulling out the studs. You should be at 196 them pipes on the sled should be around 135+ Doug

yes a WELL CALIBRATED piped sx will take an F7 if it has traction. Traction is pretty important for beating those firecrackers, because they are quick of the line. That third lung will out pull the F7 on top everytime if your sled is set up well.
I loved my sx more than most, but out run a f-7 on top - no

i doubt top we only did a 1/4 mile.
well im screwed now...guess i should have listened to you guys aver PSI and MAXX PEFR when i put the pipes on. jetted to there specs and now i have a burnt piston. not exactly sure what is wrong i am going to rip it apart this weekend.....really sucks.
i was riding about 20 miles no problems, got about 2 miles from home opened it up to about 80 everything was good went to slow down and it seemed to be reving high or something so i slowed down and it started to make a loud weird noise almost like there was a hole in the exhaust. got a light checked what i could in the dark looked fine. pulled the plugs and they had a little white on them. towed it home and thats where it sits. when i checked the jetting it seemed fine. i was told by many that were with me that it was fine. it is jetted for -5 it was probably 5 above when i was riding last night and i had the heated carbs on. so who knows.
whats your input?
