Slip gear to yamaha. Which side to outside?

I have a 13 wide 40teeths slipgear to my Phazer Mountainlite. So side with socket or the other side outside.

shoulder or "raised portion" goes to the chaincase inner side or towards the engine, assuming thats what you were referencing. dont forget to get the collars(spacers) oriented correctly. the fatter one goes behind the upper gear.
