I know this has been done but i am about to do it also. I am going to completely rebuild my 2001 srx in black with silver factory style decals. If anyone has done this please let me know the source years for factory plastic. I know the xtc had a black bellypan and rear bumper. Any help appreciated. Tunnel will be completely stripped and powdercoated black.

Xtc belly pan won't work, bumper will fit, front xtc black bumper will fit too. you need to use the 98 srx black belly pans.

youll need 98 srx specific belly pans. The rear bumper cover, front bumper are the same off other yamaha proaction sleds like xtc, vmax, but the 98 srx had all black covers and bumpers also.

I built one a long time ago, they look cool!

That black SRX looks incredible!!! Man I love the blue but that Black looks so cool, nice job!!! Very cool to see such a transition. What polish did you use on the tunnel? I use Autosol Alum. Polish.

Yes they do!!!!

Or you can dye the factory seat. I did it to my old Apex and it held up amazingly well. If you are interested I can get you the specific dye. I also did a black SRX back in the day. :)

I'd be interested in knowing what dye you used for the seat I'd like to do mine.

It was SEM brand Vinyl Dye. I was skeptical, but looked the same as new after a couple years. Easy to apply and pretty impressive.

Where can it be purchased and how much is it? Is it a spray or a liquid that gets painted on or ??
